An Initial Assessment for maths and English will assess your current skill level.
The Initial Assessment is a short test to find out which maths and English level you should be starting at.
The test will take no longer than 1 hour and does not count towards your qualification.

Functional Skills is designed to give you practical skills that can be applied in your working life. Level 2 Functional Skills Maths and English is equivalent to GCSE grade A*-C and is widely accepted by employers and universities across the UK.
