Three steps to achieve your Level 1 English Qualification

We’ll assess your English level with a short online English test. One of our English tutors will explain your results over the phone. We’ll create an English course to fit your current skill level and show you how to use our learning management system.
2. Online Course &
English Tutor Support
You’ll start your online learning with the support of our friendly, helpful English tutors. You’ll be able access and progress with your learning 24/7 on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone. Subject specific tests will help you track your learning progress.
3. Take your Functional
Skills English test
When you’ve progressed well with your learning, you’ll sit an additional diagnostic and a mock test to see if you’re ready for the final test. If you pass the mock test we’ll book your Functional Skills English Level 1 test or progress you onto Level 2.

The exam board recommends 55 hours of learning for this course. You can take as little or as much time as you need.

There are 3 exams for this course which will need to be sat at an approved exam centre or remotely with invigilation using video chat software such as Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp. Your exam fees are not included in the price of the course. It can take up to 6 weeks to get your results. This is due to the Functional Skills qualification reforms.
