There is no learning included with the exam. We also offer Functional Skills Maths Level 1 and 2 online courses which can be studied at your own pace. These courses are great for those who need some revision before taking their exams.

Exam Details
Take your Functional Skills Maths test at an approved centre in Leeds for just £99!
Exam times
Functional Skills exams do not have set exam dates and can be taken at any point during the year.
Level 1 and 2 maths exams will take 1 hour 45 minutes unless you have any special requirements or extra time available to you.
Prices
The exam costs £99 per entry. If unfortunately you do not pass, you will need to pay the fee again for a resit.
Important booking information
All maths exams will start at 1:00pm. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your exam is due to begin. This ensures that we have time to set up the exam and go through mandatory rules and test conditions with you.
If you arrive on or after the exam start time, you will not be able to sit your exam and there will not be any refund.

Our adult education centre in Leeds is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
You’ll be able to book your Functional Skills Maths Level 2 test as soon as you’re ready – no waiting around for fixed exam dates. Take your Functional Skills Maths Level 2 test under exam conditions.

When can I take my exam?
You can take your exam whenever you are ready.

All exams start at 2:30pm Monday – Friday.
How long is the exam?
The Level 1 Maths exam will be 1 hour 30 minutes unless you have any special requirements or extra time available to you.
The Level 2 Maths exam will be 2 hours unless you have any special requirements or extra time available to you.
How much does it cost?
Exam fees are £99.
Are there any entry requirements?
Yes. If you haven’t studied with us, you’ll need to complete an Initial Assessment and a mock exam paper. This is to ensure that you are 100% ready for the exam.
If you have studied with us, your tutor will let you know when you are ready for the exam.
What if I fail the exam?
If unfortunately you fail the exam, you will need to pay the full exam fee again to resit.
There’s no time period to wait between resits but we’d recommend spending time revising before you apply for a resit.
Can I cancel or request a refund?
You can request a cancellation or refund up to 5 working days before your scheduled exam date. Any refund requests within 5 working days of your exam date cannot be accepted.
There will be no refunds if you do not arrive or arrive late to your exam.
