Why retake GCSE English?

A GCSE English pass grade is essential for education courses such as access courses, apprenticeships and higher education. It’s also very common required qualification to apply for jobs.

With the support of our friendly, experienced English tutors, you’ll gain a basic understanding in order to pass Level 1 and 2 Functional Skills in English. Our tutors help our students learn at their own pace and learn English from home.

Our Functional Skills English Level 1 and 2 online courses are accredited by City & Guilds and are a nationally recognised qualification.

Functional Skills English Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE Maths grade 4 to 9 (A* to C on the old GCSE grading system). Enlgish Level 2 course is popular with adults who failed GCSE English.

Level 1 English is for adults who need to retake GCSE English but aren’t ready for English Level 2. (Which is the that same as a GCSE English pass grade.)
